A Place For Us (Parts 3 and 4) by Harriet Evans

A Place For Us

Rating: 4/5

I received this book in four parts from NetGallery. I really enjoyed parts one and two (reviews can be found through the links), and have found that the book got more interesting as it progressed.

Each of the characters have their own secrets and dilemmas, many of which have already been introduced or fully revealed within the first half of the book. Each member of the family are returning home after receiving an invitation from Martha stating that she has an important announcement to make. The second half of the book uncovers even more secrets and deals with the consequences of their unveiling.

The story line jumps back and forth in time and alternates between each member of the Winter family and Joe, the chef. This was a little difficult to follow in the beginning as all the members of the family were leading separate lives. This became a lot easier to read when each of the individuals arrived in the village, with their stories beginning to overlap.

I really enjoyed this book, especially the second half. I would definitely recommend it!
